Grow-2-CEO
Grow2CEO 2019 was the biggest food growing campaign we ran with our friends at ”Grow It Yourself” (GIY).
It encourages students in secondary school to get a hands-on experience of growing their own vegetables to starting their own food business.

51% of Secondary Schools in Ireland took part in the campaign where students were given their very own kit to grow spinach and were set class challenges to come up with soup recipes using their class grown veg and developing a soup recipe, branding, packaging and a business plan.
We were blown away by the students efforts, from setting up soup stalls, to gathering expertise from chefs and local grower and considering their companies carbon footprint.
Finalists 2019
The three finalist schools Gort Community School, St Vincents and St Colmans were invited to Grow HQ in Waterford to present their soup business to a panel of judges including Cully, GIY founder Mike Kelly and a special guest supermarket Buyer from the Coop in the UK.
The winning school Gort Community School were crowned the winners and were awarded a €5,000 prize including €3,000 for a food garden.

in 2018 we had 329 schools enter Grow-2-CEO, we sent out 616 grow packs which were used by 9,870 students which meant 45% of Irish secondary schools took part.
