PASTA CHORIZO

IN A DELICIOUSLY HERBY TOMATO SAUCE … DIG IN!!

Chorizo, delicious pork sausage spiced with smoked paprika and flavoured with herbs comes raw, smoked or cured. 
 
A general rule of thumb is that long thin chorizos are sweet and eaten raw, short chorizos are spicy & are often cooked! 
 
Colombia holds the record for the longest chorizo ever which was an amazing 1,917.8 meters long... sweet!!

Cooking Instructions:

MICROWAVE: Remove film carefully with scissors. Heat at 800w for 2.5 minutes. Stir and stand for 1 minute. Heat for a further 2 minutes. Allow to stand for 1 minute. Stir & serve. Please handle with care.

NO MICROWAVE, No problem! Pour into a saucepan and heat on the hob for 6 minutes, stirring gently but don’t let it boil. Stir and serve. 

Ingredients:

Pasta (50%) [Durum Wheat, Semolina, Water, Rapeseed Oil], Tomatoes (20%), Water, Chorizo (4.5%) [Pork, Smoked Paprika, Salt, Garlic, Preservatives: Sodium Nitrite, Potassium Nitrite, Rosemary Extract], Onions, Double Cream (Milk), Corn Flour, Butter (Milk), Olive Oil, Parmigiano Reggiano (Milk), Sugar, Salt, Parsley, Rosemary, Cracked Black Pepper, Dried Red Chillies.

Serving Suggestion:

Chorizo braised in cider. Cut a stick of chorizo into 1cm slices. Add a dash of olive oil into a frying pan. Just as it starts to smoke, add the sliced chorizo. Crisp up the chorizo in the pan. Pour in a cup of cider to deglaze the pan and allow to bubble for a couple of minutes. Serve in a warmed bowl with crusty bread for mopping.
