A MIGHTY MEXICAN

CHILLI CON CARNE

MADE WITH BEEF, RICE, BEANS & GENTLE SPICES. ANDALE! ANDALE! ARRIBA! ARRIBA!

When we at Cully & Sully thought chilli, we thought meat, kidney beans and chillies, however Chilli Con Carne literally means chilli with meat. No need for kidney beans in there!

Traditional versions are made, minimally, from chilli, peppers, meat, garlic, onions, and cumin along with chopped or ground beef. Beans and tomatoes are frequently included and like Irish stew in Ireland, the variant recipes provoke disputes amongst the Latin Aficionados!

We chose to keep the beans.

Cooking Instructions:

MICROWAVE: Remove film carefully with scissors. Heat at 800w for 3 minutes. Stir and stand for 1 minute. Heat for a further 2.5 minutes. Allow to stand for 1 minute. Stir & serve. Please handle with care.

NO MICROWAVE, No problem! Pour into a saucepan & heat on the hob for 5 minutes, stirring gently but don’t let it boil. Stir and serve.

Ingredients:

Water, Minced Beef (17%), Tomatoes, Onions, Long Grain Rice (5%), Tomato Puree, Red Kidney Beans (5%), Sweetcorn, Red Peppers, Yellow Peppers, Spices (0.9%) (Ground Cumin, Paprika, Smoked Paprika), Corn Flour, Rapeseed Oil, Salt, Garlic Puree, Coriander Leaf, Lime Juice, Sugar, Red Chillies.

Serving Suggestion:

Cheer up your chilli! This recipe is particularly delicious if you eat it with sour cream and cheddar cheese. Just literally grate in a load of cheddar cheese and pop a dollop of sour cream on top. Yum! Cully highly recommends grating cheddar or parmesan cheese into our soup too!
