IN A RICH TOMATO SAUCE … IT’S BEEFY!!
Ragu “alla bolognese,” literally means meat sauce from Bologna.
Funnily enough Spaghetti Bolognese (or Bolonaise in France) isn’t actually eaten in Bologna as they prefer to eat it with tagliatelle or even penne which allows the meat to stick better to the pasta.
This also means you don’t end up with sauce on your jumper!
Tomato garlic and mozzarella bread. Drizzle olive oil over a halved baguette or ciabatta and toast it under a grill. Rub the crisped bread with a peeled clove of garlic. Then, rub it with a really ripe halved tomato. Sprinkle on some chopped parsley, salt, pepper and torn mozzarella, if you have it. This is a delicious alternative to garlic bread.
MICROWAVE: Remove film carefully with scissors. Heat at 800w for 2.5 minutes. Stir and stand for 1 minute. Heat for a further 2 minutes. Allow to stand for 1 minute. Stir & serve. Please handle with care.
NO MICROWAVE, No problem! Pour into a saucepan & heat on the hob for 6 minutes, stirring gently but don’t let it boil. Stir and serve.
